Biblical Application

We begin the first 5 minutes of every class with prayer and devotions. Students are encouraged to memorize each week's Scripture.

Week 1: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:4 - 8

Week 2: "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him." Psalm 28:7

Week 3: "For whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn away from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it." 1 Peter 3:10 - 11

Week 4: "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." Colossians 3:13

Week 5: "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it." Hebrews 13:2

Week 6: "Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights." James 1:17

Week 7: “For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones.” Psalm 37:28

Week 8: Christ said, “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” Matthew 11:29

Week 9: "For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.  It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age." Titus 2:11 - 12

Week 10: "But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold." Job 23:10

Week 11: “Afflicted city, storm-battered, unpitied; I’m about to rebuild you with stones of turquoise, lay your foundations with sapphires, construct your towers with rubies, your gates with jewels, and all your walls with precious stones.”
