Youth Company and Junior Company

Christian Academy of Dance Youth Company and Junior Company are performance-focused dance ministry opportunities for dancers who wish to pursue a career in dance. Dance ministry is the process by which our gifts of dance are used to carry out the act of ministry (service) to encourage, comfort, and edify others in Christ. The Junior Company is an opportunity available to students in Ballet 5 who meet all class requirements for their level. The Youth Company is an opportunity available to students in Ballet 6 and 7 who meet all of the requirements for their level.  The CAD Youth Company provideS dedicated students the opportunity to perform with our resident company, Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet.  The Youth Company and Junior Company will travel to Project Dance, New York, where they will have the opportunity to perform in Times Square with other dance ministries from around the world. Members of the CAD Youth Company and Junior Company will have their own repertoire, which will be set based on each dancer’s individual strengths. The students will be coached technically and artistically, and guided in their pursuit of professional dance by our accomplished faculty.

To participate in Youth Company or Junior Company, students do not have to be believers in Christ or attend church. Students will not be asked to participate in anything with which they do not feel comfortable, but should understand that prayer and biblical study are included in rehearsals and events.  Please direct any concerns or questions to Artistic Director, Elisa Schroth, at elisa@christianacademyofdance.org.
